Responsibilities
- Direct the daily activities of 30-40 personnel on the floor, ensuring all production targets and quality standards are met for the Production Supervisor.
- Uphold a positive workplace culture by applying progressive discipline and coaching techniques to resolve conflicts and maintain a positive culture of inclusivity
- Oversee frequent line changeovers and setups for CNC, Screw Machines, Davenports, and Wickman's to maintain high output in this Mississauga facility.
- Utilize the Epicore ERP system to manage shift reporting, staff evaluations, and key performance indicator tracking.
- Maintain a safe and compliant manufacturing environment by enforcing Standard Operating Procedures and health and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with HR and senior leadership to facilitate hiring, performance reviews, and departmental communication.
Qualifications
- You possess between 3 and 5 years of experience in a leadership capacity within a manufacturing setting with experience working with Industrial Metals..
- Proven expertise in managing employee relations, including the ability to deliver feedback and manage performance plans effectively.
- You are proficient in navigating computerized business systems, specifically with an ERP like Epicore or similar platforms.
- Technical aptitude is required to troubleshoot machinery and understand processes involving industrial metals like brass, copper, or aluminum.
- Strong organizational skills are essential for this Production Supervisor role to prioritize tasks under high-pressure deadlines.
- The ability to work the permanent afternoon schedule in Mississauga is required, following an initial two-week orientation on the day shift.
