Responsibilities
- Direct daily distribution activities as the Production Supervisor – Afternoon, ensuring all customer orders meet strict quality and HAACP specifications.
- Foster a proactive safety culture by conducting root cause analyses, implementing corrective actions, and adhering to provincial health and safety legislation.
- Utilize SAP and MS Office to generate performance reports and facilitate seamless communication during shift handovers.
- Lead and coach a unionized workforce by managing schedules, conducting startup meetings, and resolving employee concerns in line with collective agreements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the warehouse industry to optimize operational efficiency and labor management.
- Maintain strict adherence to GMP and S.O.Ps to ensure the highest level of food safety and organizational excellence.
Qualifications
Possess a University degree, College diploma, or substantial equivalent leadership experience within the logistics or distribution industry.
Demonstrate at least 8 years of proven experience managing personnel, specifically within a unionized industrial environment.
- Showcase technical proficiency in WMS systems like SAP and the Microsoft Office suite, including PowerBI and Excel.
- Hold a deep understanding of material handling practices, technical standards, and integrated health and safety protocols.
- Exhibit superior interpersonal skills with a focus on coaching, decision-making, and resolving complex operational problems.
- Capable of working the Shift Supervisor – Afternoon schedule, which includes 10-hour shifts starting at 3:30 PM.
