Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily workflow of the manufacturing cell to ensure all weekly and annual production targets are met.
- Manage weekend operations including the weld room, machining, and assembly areas to maintain seamless production continuity.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Quality Control departments to refine manufacturing instructions and perform dimensional inspections.
- Facilitate daily production meetings and coordinate workforce assignments, including the scheduling of necessary overtime.
- Provide direct coaching and safety training to team members to foster a culture of continuous improvement and cross-functional skill development.
- Monitor shop floor inventory and manage earned hours reporting to ensure efficient use of all company assets.
Qualifications
- You possess a Bachelor’s degree, technical college certificate, or a skilled-trades certification as a CNC machinist
- You have at least five years of leadership experience within an MRP-based manufacturing setting.
- Extensive hands-on experience working with large CNC lathes or mill turn machines to produce precision components is required.
- You are highly proficient in reading complex mechanical drawings with tight tolerances and have a strong grasp of G-Code programming.
- Proven expertise in Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and SPC methodologies is considered a significant asset for this Production Supervisor role.
- You demonstrate excellent communication skills in English and are proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
