Responsibilities
🔧 What You’ll Be Doing:
As a key leader on the shop floor, you’ll be responsible for driving safety, performance, and productivity during your shift. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
âś… Ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety regulations and the Occupational Health & Safety Act
âś… Monitoring and achieving manufacturing metrics for your shift
âś… Managing and coaching shop floor teams to optimize performance
âś… Leading audits (SOP, Safety, 5S, Process) and driving continuous improvement
âś… Hosting regular team communications to keep everyone aligned and informed
âś… Tracking and supporting employee training and development on shift
âś… Taking swift action on any product, process, or quality system nonconformities
âś… Proactively identifying and resolving bottlenecks to keep production flowing smoothly
âś… Overseeing employee scheduling to ensure your shift is staffed with the right talent
âś… Collaborating with Gate House Attendants on absence coverage and shift needs
Qualifications
What You Need:
đź§ 3+ years of experience with proven leadership experience in a manufacturing environment (automotive industry is a plus!)
đź§ Strong understanding of health and safety regulations
đź§ Confidence in problem-solving and quality assurance practices
đź§ Excellent communication and team engagement skills
đź§ Ability to make data-driven decisions and drive results on the floor
đź§ Lean manufacturing experience (Six Sigma, 5S, Kaizen)
