Responsibilities
The Mission:
As the Night Supervisor, you are the primary point of contact for the film and rewind production areas.. You will coordinate activities across shifts to ensure we manufacture high-quality products efficiently and, most importantly, safely.
Key Impact Areas:
*Team Leadership: Assign duties based on employee strengths, identify skill gaps, and provide hands-on, on-the-job training to elevate your team’s performance.
*Operational Excellence: Continuously improve production methods to maximize quality while minimizing labor hours and waste.
*Technical Troubleshooting: Act as the subject matter expert for operators, solving production hurdles as they arise to keep the lines moving.
*Safety Stewardship: Act as a champion for health and safety regulations, conducting daily inspections, safety talks, and ensuring all PPE and protocols are strictly followed.
*Administrative Oversight: Manage shift schedules, vacation approvals, and the accurate closing of work orders and production reports..
Qualifications
What You Bring to the Table:
We are looking for a supervisor who balances technical "know-how" with strong interpersonal skills.
Experience: 3–5 years of solid leadership experience in a related manufacturing supervisory role (preferably with extrusions experience).
Technical Expertise: Demonstrated knowledge of the Blown Film process and the ability to troubleshoot co-extrusion production.
Education: Some post-secondary technical qualifications.
Skills:
*Proficient with spreadsheets and word processing software.
*Solid basic math and measurement skills..
*Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and BSCI standards is highly preferred.
Attributes: Analytical problem-solving abilities, physical endurance for a manufacturing environment, and the flexibility to adapt to shift needs..
