Responsibilities
- Orchestrate and oversee the daily workflows of approximately 8 mixing personnel within the chemical processing environment.
- Coordinate downstream material flow and monitor daily batch counts to meet established shipping and customer delivery targets.
- Provide hands-on assistance by stepping directly into production and batching operations for up to 70% of your working time when required.
- Train, coach, and mentor staff members while actively driving accountability, managing attendance records, and conducting performance evaluations.
- Enforce rigorous health and safety protocols, ensuring the proper utilization of mandatory respirators and protective gear.
- Utilize production monitoring software, to track equipment downtime, manage inventory, and optimize material flow.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in an industrial manufacturing setting, with strong preferences for batch manufacturing, coatings, rubber, plastics, or chemical processing.
- Proven background in a leadership or supervisory capacity, with a demonstrated ability to motivate and manage tough, hands-on production teams.
- Superb logical thinking and problem-solving capabilities, with the willingness to engage floor staff in operational decision-making.
- Capability to comfortably work in a physically demanding, industrial plant setting involving exposure to powders, dust, and heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, with experience or exposure to material flow software and inventory management systems considered a significant asset.
- Valid Forklift certification or previous industrial truck operating experience is highly regarded
