Responsibilities
- Direct the daily afternoon manufacturing operations as the Production Supervisor – Afternoon Shift to hit safety and output targets.
- Utilize 5S methodologies and Lean manufacturing principles to minimize waste and optimize facility workflows.
- Monitor departmental KPIs regarding attendance and safety to guide team coaching and performance tracking.
- Facilitate seamless handovers between morning and midnight leadership to maintain consistent production cycles.
- Lead root-cause analysis investigations using fishbone diagrams and 5 Whys to resolve any attainment shortfalls.
- Oversee a diverse team of 30 to 40 personnel, ensuring fair treatment while maintaining professional management boundaries.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of leadership experience within a manufacturing environment as a supervisor or team lead.
- Demonstrated expertise in Lean manufacturing, 5S implementation, and visual management systems.
- Previous background in assembly or the automotive industry is highly preferred to support a continuous improvement culture.
- Proven ability to reduce scrap and improve attainment through data-driven problem-solving and process knowledge.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to coach, mentor, and develop a large technical workforce.
