Responsibilities
•Providing quotations to customers in response to submitted RFQ’s
•Interacting with the customer representative to obtain all necessary information to provide accurate and timely responses to RFQ’s
•Interacting with the tooling source to obtain tooling and mould quotations as input to the RFQ process
•Obtaining material specifications and costing as part of the input to the quotation process.
•Managing the tool building process through interacting with the tooling source to ensure timelines are met, and tooling remains within specified budget.
•Complying with program timeline milestones as specified by the customer for the specific program.
•Managing engineering change requests during the tool build process, and after program launch
•Ensuring on time tool completion for the supply of initial sample requests.
•Providing PPAP submissions to comply with customer requirements, to ensure tooling payment.
•Manage customer P.O. process to ensure payment for achieved after production launch
•Ongoing interface with the customer on initial quality/performance issues with product launch
•Ensuring product complies to weight and cycle time
Qualifications
What You Bring
•A Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Engineering
•Strong attention to detail, dependability, and persistence in completing tasks to a high standard.
•Ability to work independently and show initiative while also being a cooperative team player.
•Proven experience in the automotive industry is a significant asset, particularly with injection-molded parts.
•Good command of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and Word
•Knowledge of data transfer and manipulation, including the ability to receive and transfer electronic design files to tool shops.
•Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with customers and suppliers. Excellent communication and follow-up capabilities are essential for proactive program management.
