Responsibilities
- Coordinate activities and manage dependencies across various projects within the program.
- Manage vendors and stakeholders effectively.
- Act as a key liaison between projects and senior management to resolve high-level issues.
- Prepare comprehensive reports for program directors and executives.
- Identify and propose both short-term and long-term solutions for managing communicable disease data.
- Review existing documentation and analyze limitations of current systems.
- Conduct environmental scans of alternative systems used by other Public Health Units (PHUs).
- Engage with internal stakeholders to gather and document requirements.
- Assess the alignment of potential solutions with provincial and municipal standards.
- Recommend suitable strategies for digital solutions in line with long-term goals.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience managing large-scale, high-risk projects and programs, particularly in the public sector and with digital health initiatives.
- Proven experience in evaluating and implementing third-party or SaaS healthcare solutions, including conducting environmental scans and fit-gap analysis.
- Experience working with healthcare data and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
- Considerable experience preparing essential project management documents, such as project charters, statements of work, and risk management plans.
- Minimum of 5 years of Program Leadership or Senior Project Management experience.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a matrix project environment and develop complex delivery schedules.
- Strong skills in relationship management, consulting, and conflict resolution.
- Experience with all stages of various IT project types, from initiation to closing.
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
- Knowledge of Ontario Public Health Standards, HPPA, and PHIPA is a significant asset.
