We are seeking a dedicated Project Administrator for a 6-month contract with a strong potential for permanent placement in Cambridge, ON. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in keeping major construction projects on track, acting as the administrative backbone for project managers, foremen, and the accounting department.
Advantages
- Work schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (40 hours/week).. Pay rate: $25.00/hour.
- 6-month contract with a possibility of transitioning into a permanent role.
- Work alongside a collaborative cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
Your day-to-day will be dynamic, blending project coordination with financial administration. A major focus of this role will be driving financial accuracy through high-volume data and invoice management:
- Manage and complete progress invoices for multiple construction sites simultaneously; track project expenses and timesheets in collaboration with accounting.
- Input project data into SAP system; set up purchase orders for subcontractors, suppliers, and manufacturers, and log change orders.
- Regularly update forecast sheets, maintain project schedules, and book labor hours while ensuring rates match.
- Prepare project binders, manage site paperwork, track project communications, and compile final project closures.
- Ensure all financial transactions comply with internal policies,.
Qualifications
To be considered for the Project Coordinator, you should have the following skills:
- 2 – 4 years of construction project administration experience is an asset but not required.
- Background in managing high-volume invoicing with high attention to detail.
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Expertise in SAP is required and proficient in MS Office Suite.
- Must be able to work full-time, in-office in Cambridge, ON.
