We are currently sourcing for a polished and dynamic Project Coordinator to join a boutique construction management firm specializing in the ICI (Industrial, Commercial, Institutional) sector. This is not your standard "document control" role; we are looking for a professional who can provide complete project coverage through the foundation, structure, and envelope phases.
...
The ideal candidate is someone who prides themselves on being well-spoken and client-facing, capable of representing the firm with a high level of "polish" and professional acumen. You will be joining a tight-knit team of 24 full-time professionals where "tribal knowledge" and a unique, process-heavy approach set us apart from the rest of the industry.
Advantages
Elite Mentorship: Work under leadership with over a decade of tenure in a "hire slow, fire fast" culture that prioritizes the right fit.
Boutique Environment: Move away from the rigid "big box" GC feel into a firm that values specialized expertise and refined processes.
Project Scope: Gain hands-on experience with diverse projects ranging from $2MM to $50MM.
Career Trajectory: A defined path for growth with a competitive salary band of $65,000–$70,000, adjusted based on your professional momentum.
Responsibilities
Comprehensive Project Support: Provide two-fold coverage across all project stages, ensuring no gaps in communication or execution.
Technical Documentation: Manage RFIs, meeting minutes, and the MS Office Suite with precision.
Blueprint Literacy: Actively read and interpret structural steel shop drawings and architectural blueprints to ensure site accuracy.
Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and subcontractors, maintaining a professional and articulate presence.
Consistent Updates: Ensure a rhythm of constant reporting and updates, maintaining transparency even during quieter project phases.
Qualifications
Experience: 1–3 years of professional experience as a Project Coordinator within the Canadian construction industry.
Technical Skills: Proficient in RFI management, Excel, and the MS Office Suite. Ability to read and understand structural drawings is mandatory.
Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; you must be comfortable in high-stakes, client-facing environments.
Aptitude: A "fit and dynamic" personality with a hunger to learn a unique, process-heavy methodology that differs from standard industry norms.
Education: A background in a recognized Project Coordination or Construction Management program is preferred.
Summary
This is a rare opportunity for a junior-to-mid-level professional to transition into a sophisticated, boutique environment that values quality over quantity. We are looking for an individual who is ready to move beyond basic administrative tasks and take on a role that requires true technical understanding and professional elegance.
If you match the qualifications for the role with Canadian experience please email paul.rabel@randstad.ca. Only qualified candidates matching the listed criteria will be contacted.
