Responsibilities
• Act as a liaison between their customers
• Prepare and release:
o Shop (work) orders
o Material Requisitions for Purchasing
o Complete Package Bills of Material
• Sizing and selection of instrumentation
• Reviewing and applying customer specifications
• Adhere to the project schedule and report any changes to the scheduler
• Communicating, and working in conjunction with all departments
• Review and approve drawings to meet package, customer, and Code requirements, including:
o PFD’s, P&ID’s, 3D models, and GA’s
o Process piping systems
o Pressure vessels and heat exchangers
o Non-Code equipment, including reconcentrators and atmospheric tanks
o Structural steel
o Subcontractors’ drawings pumps, aerial coolers, etc.
• Create Change Orders with pricing
• Work with the process engineers and the applications’ group, when/where required
• Develop, review, and approve package simulations
• Perform and approve all major process related vessel and line sizes.
• Final review and selection of all major process related sub-vendor buyout equipment
• Perform overall package hydraulic calculations
• Review PSV sizing including inlet/outlet tail pipes and overall flare header sizing
• Review control valve sizing
• Perform Over Pressure Protection by System Design (OPPSD) analysis
• Participate in package HAZOP’s
• Develop and approve all process related project documentation (Operating Manual, Control Philosophy,
Shutdown Key)
• Ensure accuracy of job quality requirements
• Perform P&ID walk down of final package to ensure compliance with design.
• Support activities for all installation, commissioning and startup needs
• Participate in internal job reviews to improve overall processes and efficiencies
• Participate in advancing product portfolio
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or chemical engineering preferred.
• Professional engineering license (P.Eng) or ability to register (PMP certification is an asset).
• Relevant experience in project engineering, preferably within oil and gas industry.
• Working knowledge of gas processing and fabrication.
• Knowledge of industry codes such as ASME Section VIII and B31.3.
• Familiarity in sizing/selection of pressure piping and instrumentation.
• Ability to read and interpret technical data sheets and drawings.
• Proficiency in MS Office suite programs used to create reports and documents, as well as MS Teams and
Bluebeam.
• Strong client service, communication, and collaboration skills. Attention to detail, organization, and time
management skills.
• Able to adapt to changing priorities in an efficient manner. Analytical thinker with strong problem-
solving skills and a continuous learning mindset.
• Dependable self-starter and ability to take ownership and responsibility for projects and work assigned.
