Responsibilities
•Project Plan Development and Management: Partner with the system implementor, external vendors, and internal teams to develop a detailed project plan to deliver on the Merchandising System migration. Maintain visibility and ownership of progress, timelines, dependencies, resource availability, and proactively address roadblocks to ensure successful delivery.
•Cross-functional Coordination: Work closely with finance, supply chain, product, and technology teams to foster collaboration and align priorities, resolve conflicts, escalate issues, and drive a unified execution of the project.
•Risk Management and Reporting: Identify and track project risks and work with stakeholders to develop mitigation strategies, maintain risk registers, and provide timely reporting to stakeholders to support informed decision-making throughout the project.
•Budget Management and Reporting: Support with management of the project budget, including proactive tracking and review of actuals, projections, and analysis of variances. Provide regular reporting and insights to project leadership and governance to enable informed decision-making around resource allocations.
•Technology & Systems: Collaborate with the system implementor, external vendors, and internal teams to maintain tools used to enable project management activities related to this project. Provide support for teams for their use of any tools that support project management activities, including tools related to progress management and budget tracking.
Qualifications
•Experience: 5+ years in a project management, business analysis, or finance operations role, preferably within e-commerce, wholesale operations, or retail.
•Project Management Experience: Demonstrated experience managing complex, cross-functional, technology-focused projects, ideally related to finance systems and/or system migrations to SaaS platforms.
•UAT Experience: Familiarity with planning and managing UAT, including methodologies, testing frameworks, and issue tracking for finance-related systems.
•Financial Acumen: Understanding of financial operations, inventory accounting, and general accounting knowledge is considered an asset.
•Cross-Functional Collaboration: Experience working in multi-organization delivery environments across multiple internal teams, including business and technology teams, as well as external vendor and system implementors.
•Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to consolidate and summarize information from multiple sources effectively.
•Continuous Improvement: Experience with identifying areas of improvement and pursuing action to enhance, optimize, or improve processes.
•Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with finance systems and products, such as products related to Merchandising or ERPs as well as project management tools (e.g. Jira, Confluence, Smartsheets, MS Project, or similar).
