This role will work closely with the Global Trade Program Manager, along with trade compliance, operations and technology subject-matter experts to develop strategies, build program and project plans and ensure the successful delivery of program and projects. This individual may require flexibility with their working hours to accommodate work with international teams (e.g. may require having meetings at ~7am-8am PST to meet with our EU teams or meetings 6pm- 7pm to meet with APAC/China teams).

Responsibilities
Project Management - Manage specific high-priority projects within Global Trade programs and ensure successful delivery of project objectives
o Develop project charters – which include determining project objectives, timelines, milestones, resourcing required, stakeholders, risks and costs estimates
o Develop project execution plan and monitor and report on project performance against plan as measured by project milestones, KPIs, and supporting metrics
o Conduct project stakeholder mapping and change impact assessments
o Lead the onboarding and enrolment of stakeholders on projects which may include other Global Trade team members, other cross-functional teams and external partners (e.g., vendors, LSPs, customs brokers etc.)
o Support in developing standards, guidelines and best practices related to project management to enable other Global Trade team members to effectively manage projects
Program Management – Manage Global Trade Compliance programs and ensure projects within programs are contributing to the program’s strategic objectives
o Work with the Global Trade Program Manager, program sponsors and global trade
subject matter experts to determine strategic objectives, measures of success,
resourcing requirements and timelines for Global Trade programs
o Monitor and report on program performance and status against plan as measured by
milestones, KPIs, and supporting metrics
o Proactively identify and facilitate the remediation of risks, issues and blockers related to a
program
o Lead the initiation of projects and develop business cases for new projects within a
program
o Act as servant leader for other project managers and/or delivery team members
supporting the program
Qualifications
o 4+ years of experience in project management or program management role, or equivalent experience (e.g., management consulting)
o Self-directed and proactive with a strong sense of accountability and ownership over their work, with demonstrated experience successfully delivering programs or projects with tangible impacts
o Proven experience successfully initiating a new project or program – developing a business case, defining scope, identifying budget and resourcing requirements, establishing quantitative and qualitative measures of success etc.
o Foundational understanding of project management methodologies and frameworks (e.g., waterfall, agile, scrum etc.) with demonstrated experience applying frameworks to improve processes within a program or project team
o Hands-on experience using project management technologies (e.g., Microsoft Project, Microsoft Planner, Monday.com, Jira etc.) and artifacts (e.g., RAID log, RACI, work breakdown structure, kanban board, project charters etc.)
o Strong analytical skills with proven experience in conducting options analysis and presenting recommendations to drive decision making amongst executive sponsors
o Effective in navigating ambiguity with demonstrated experience delivering tangible results working in an ambiguous context
o Demonstrated experience indirectly managing diverse stakeholders to successfully deliver on program or project objectives
o Transparent in communicating challenges with proven experience of proactively surfacing and collaborating with team members to resolve issues
o A growth mindset with an eagerness to continuously learn and broaden their skillset
