Responsibilities
• Leadership & Coordination: Act as the primary integrating lead, aligning vendor agile sprints with the master waterfall release plan and fostering a collaborative team culture.
• Vendor Management: Hold external vendors accountable for contractual milestones, quality standards, and deliverables while maintaining a solution-focused partnership.
• Governance & Controls: Maintain the integrated master schedule, manage the RAID log, and lead project meetings across governance and delivery levels.
• Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify and resolve risks related to data migration, technical readiness, and organizational change before they impact the timeline.
• Quality Assurance: Oversee the testing strategy, defect tracking, and data migration validation to ensure the system meets rigorous Client standards.
• Change Management: Partner with training leads to ensure stakeholder readiness, communication, and smooth staff adoption during the late 2026 go-live.
• Reporting & Compliance: Provide executive-level reporting on budget and performance while ensuring all privacy, security, and IMT requirements are met.
Qualifications
• 8+ Years of experience managing large-scale, complex software development projects in environments of similar scale to the Government of Alberta.
• 8+ Years of experience in project planning, stakeholder relationship management, and implementing recognized PM methodologies (Agile/Waterfall/Hybrid).
• 5+ Years of experience managing enterprise-scale systems (CRM, ERP, or Financial/Banking systems such as Microsoft Dynamics).
• 5+ Years of experience in vendor management, contract accountability, and performance tracking.
• 3+ Years of specific experience managing hybrid delivery models (Agile development within Waterfall timelines).
• Technical Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of the system implementation lifecycle, including data migration, security assessments (PIA/SRA), and go-live hypercare.
• Tools: Proficient in Microsoft Project, Azure DevOps, SharePoint Online, and MS Office suite.
• Certifications (Nice to Have): Active PMP certification and Agile-specific certifications (e.g., CSM, ACP).
