In this strategic role, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and operational governance across the technology organization. Rather than focusing on direct software delivery, you will ensure engineering teams have the structure, visibility, processes, and tools required to deliver business priorities efficiently and at scale. You will drive organizational effectiveness through cross-functional leadership, portfolio oversight, data-driven decision support, executive reporting, presentation development, and stakeholder communications.
Working closely with senior leadership across engineering, product, operations, and finance, you will establish governance frameworks, optimize resource and capacity management, eliminate bottlenecks, and deliver actionable performance insights to maximize organizational productivity, predictability, and business alignment.

Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Governance: Establish, refine, and enforce operational governance frameworks, performance metrics (KPIs), and delivery standards across the technology organization.
Executive Reporting & Data Storytelling: Design and build executive-ready presentations, performance dashboards, and business updates using PowerPoint, Power BI, and Excel to support data-driven decision-making.
Portfolio & Capacity Oversight: Oversee resource allocation, capacity planning, financial transparency, and workforce optimization to ensure engineering bandwidth aligns with strategic business goals.
Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement: Identify operational bottlenecks and inefficiencies, leveraging Lean/Agile methodologies to optimize Jira workflows and improve team predictability and throughput.
Data Analysis & Decision Support: Utilize SQL and advanced Excel capabilities to analyze operational metrics, track delivery trends, and translate complex data into actionable recommendations.
Cross-Functional Stakeholder Alignment: Partner across engineering, product, operations, and finance teams to promote transparency, mitigate operational risks, and align cross-functional initiatives.
Qualifications
Must-Have Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Business, Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience: 5–8+ years of experience in Project Management, Program Management, PMO Leadership, or Technology Operations within complex, matrixed environments.
- Regulated Industry Background: Proven experience working within a financial services or similar highly regulated environment.
Technical & Analytics Proficiency:
- Advanced expertise in Jira workflow configuration and process optimization.
- Strong SQL and Excel skills for data validation, trend analysis, and decision support.
- Demonstrated experience developing Power BI dashboards and executive reporting structures.
- Exceptional PowerPoint skills with a track record of creating executive-ready decks and data-driven presentations for senior leadership.
- Resource & Financial Governance: Practical experience in capacity planning, resource optimization, financial oversight, and delivery performance management.
- Agile & Process Optimization: Solid understanding of Agile delivery workflows, continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Agile), and technology enablement.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active project, program, or agile certifications (e.g., PMP, CAPM, PMI-ACP, PRINCE2, CSM, or equivalent).
