Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of projects, from initiation and planning to execution and closure, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope definition, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and risk management strategies.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration among all project stakeholders, including internal teams, external vendors, and community representatives.
- Identify and manage project risks and issues proactively, developing mitigation strategies and escalating concerns as needed.
- Monitor project progress, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and prepare regular status reports for management and stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to organizational policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Support the development of procurement-related documents, such as RFPs and Statements of Work (SOWs).
- Conduct post-project reviews to identify lessons learned and contribute to continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- PMP Certification is required.
- 5-8 years of experience managing the full lifecycle of projects.
- 3-5 years of progressive experience in project management, with a significant portion in a Transit Agency.
- Proven understanding and experience with Bus Operations, including fleet management, scheduling, and maintenance.
- 5+ years developing comprehensive project plans.
- 5+ years facilitating effective communication and collaboration among stakeholders.
- 5+ years identifying and managing project risks and issues.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira).
- Exceptional written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with specific transit technologies.
- Knowledge of procurement processes.
- Change Management certification (e.g., PROSCI).
