As the Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for coordinating and supervising day-to-day plant production operations. Help in setting up the equipment to run production. Ensure Good Production Practices are followed during Production activities for cannabis related products/projects. This includes but is not limited to organizing and assigning
work to shop floor personnel, instructing, guiding, and assisting employees in the attainment of production and quality goals/standards, developing, and mentoring team members, and driving safety performance results that meet and/or exceed company goal and targets.

Responsibilities
· Assess labor needs and make necessary adjustments to ensure adequate staffing levels.
· Ensure that Production Operators are aware of and follow safety protocols and SOPs and document their training.
· Schedule and organize staff to the appropriate to ensure team performs duties to meet production targets and expectations.
· Ensure timesheets for all employees are submitted in a timely manner.
· Oversees the documentation and KPI tracking of production room activities.
· Understand the operation of all production equipment and train Operators accordingly.
· Ensure the optimal functioning of equipment and report on maintenance requirements
· Oversee assembly, disassembly, and cleaning of production equipment.
· Perform and document all duties according to SOPs, Health Canada regulations and all other established safety standards and company policies.
· Assist with creating and/or revising SOPs
· Lead by example and responsible for work standards of the team
· Ensures safety regulations are met in all areas of responsibility and that employees perform the assigned work in a safe manner.
· Ensure all functions and related documentation are completed accurately and in a timely fashion to meet production targets and regulatory requirements.
· Work closely with the Department Management to develop departmental initiatives and strategies to increase efficiencies.
· Report deviations and assist in investigations (propose solutions and resolve problems) concerning production issues.
· Ensure that completed work orders are closed in SAP and batch records are accurate
· Other tasks as assigned by department management.
Qualifications
· 2+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
· Experience in GPP production floor environment an asset
· Detail oriented with strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills, demonstrated through previous experience.
· Must be flexible and capable of carrying multiple projects simultaneously.
· Must have the ability to work with minimal supervision and to work well as part of a team.
· Proficient use of Microsoft Office/Sharepoint (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
· Experience with ERP systems – SAP is preferred
· First aid training is an asset
