This hands-on role plays a critical part in the final quality assurance and wet-testing phase of industry-leading, high-performance concrete pump truck systems. The ideal candidate will bring strong operational background with concrete pumping machinery, sharp diagnostic capabilities, and a commitment to helping produce world-class equipment. You will be responsible for wet-testing complete units, troubleshooting technical parameters, and delivering technical and warranty insights to ensure every machine operates at peak performance before going to market.
Position: Pump Truck Technician
Location: Mission, BC
Position Type: Full-time, Permanent Position
Pay Rate: $32.00–$38.00/hour (commensurate with experience)
Schedule: Monday–Friday 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Eligibility:
Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience operating or servicing concrete pumping equipment (boom pumps and line pumps)
Valid BC Class 5 Driver's License (no restrictions) and reliable transportation to commute to Mission, BC

Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive wet-testing and functional evaluations on complete concrete pump trucks
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex mechanical, hydraulic, and operational issues during testing
Read engineering specifications, evaluate test parameters, report findings, and adjust components to bring metrics within acceptable tolerance ranges
Provide expert technical and warranty support regarding pump truck operations
Analyze machine performance data and collaborate with engineering/production teams to identify product and procedure enhancements
Complete diagnostic logs, inspection reports, and testing sign-off documentation accurately
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized shop workstation adhering to established WorkSafeBC guidelines
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of experience working directly with concrete pumping equipment (including boom pumps and line pumps)
Valid BC Class 5 Driver's License with a clean driving record (Air Brake endorsement is an asset)
Solid foundational computer skills (MS Office Suite) and comfort working with hardware/software diagnostic tools
Strong mechanical diagnostic mindset with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks independently under minimal supervision
Strong verbal and written English communication skills
Physical & Environmental Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, kneel, and climb ladders for an 8-hour shift; regularly push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs; comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions and wearing a fully fitted respirator when required
