In this position, you will be serving as the primary bridge between vendors and internal production teams. Beyond traditional purchasing, you will act as a key administrator for technical databases, ensuring that raw material costing, chemical formulas, and equipment maintenance schedules are accurate and up to date.
This role will be working fully onsite at the client’s location in Guelph, ON. Reliable transportation is required.

Responsibilities
Purchasing & Inventory:
Procurement Management: Issue, send, and receive Purchase Orders (POs) through the Business Vision ERP system. Expedite deliveries and track shipments as required.
Analytical Ordering: Monitor inventory levels and utilize Excel reports and ERP database to ensure effective ordering cycles that meet production demands. Support budgeting and forecasting through accurate purchasing and inventory data.
Vendor Coordination: Act as the primary point of contact for suppliers via email and phone. Secure supply lines and maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure quality, continuity, and value.
Problem Solving: Proactively identify potential supply chain delays and coordinate solutions to minimize production downtime.
ERP Maintenance: Manage raw material codes and costing updates within Business Vision.
Database Administration:
Data Integrity: Maintain and update the databases, ensuring container codes, paint formulas, and production tickets are 100% accurate.
Operational Support: Assist the operations team with the internal maintenance system to track and ensure timely equipment maintenance.
Qualifications
Experience: Ideally 2–3 years in a purchasing or procurement role, experience purchasing chemical raw materials is an asset.
Technical Skills: Advanced Excel: Legitimate proficiency in Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs is required.
ERP Knowledge: Experience issuing and receiving POs within an ERP system (Business Vision experience is a plus, but not required).
Software Assets: Familiarity with Power BI or maintenance software is an asset.
Communication: Strong English communication skills; ability to negotiate, coordinate and maintain relationships professionally with vendors.
High initiative, strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and problem-solving skills
