Responsibilities
Lead the Quality department, overseeing personnel and operations in Quality Control and collaborate closely with the Quality Assurance Manager.
Plan and implement strategic direction aligned with corporate goals, while ensuring on-floor compliance through training, process review and documentation procedures.
Work with internal stakeholders and licensors to drive quality consistency and regulatory adherence.
Champion continuous improvement efforts using Lean manufacturing methods such as Root Cause Analysis, Kaizen, and Value Stream Mapping.
Partner with senior leadership to standardize processes, optimize workflows and reduce visibility, all while maintaing safety and quality.
Provide training and mentorship to embed Lean thinking across the organization.
Manage depertment budgets and supported recruitment, development and retention in collaboration with HR and executive leadership.
Foster a positive and inclusive team culture, offering coaching, performance evaluations and strategic guidance.
Promote safety and risk management, ensuring clear leadership and accountivility throughout the Quality department.
Actively contribute to the Senior Management Team by improving business process and alighning short and long term strategies with organizational goasl.
Work closely with the Leadership Team to monitor KPIs, address performance issues, and ensure customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field (equivalent experience).
15+ years' experience in QA/QC position in a machine shop / manufacturing environment or similar.
10+ years' experience iin supervisory / managment role; responsible for the direct supervison of personnel.
Certification in Lean / Six Sigma Manufacturing.
ISO Auditor certification is considered an asset.
General knowledge of products and services in relation to the oil and gas industry.
