Responsibilities
Skills we are looking for -
1. Demonstrate a commitment to the core values and principles of organization.
2. Demonstrate a commitment to the quality of product and service that equates or exceeds the standards of organization.
3. Demonstrate and uphold the Health & Safety; Safety policies and procedures of the organization.
4. Dedicated and qualified plating person upon completion of five years of plating and surface finishing experience (could be
achieved with combination of formal chemistry / chemical engineering education and/or experience)
Responsibilities but not limited to -
5. Monitor and report on plant QMS/EMS objectives on a monthly basis. Prepare reports for Management Review meetings.
6. Develop and implement parameters for quality testing of parts and chemistries.
7. Monitor, test and inspect product to ensure they meet OEM
standards, NSS, Thickness and other requirements of specification.
8. Work with sales team to facilitate customers RFQ, PPAP, Trials, OEM Specifications and APQP.
9. Conduct regular meetings with suppliers for product/process improvements and QMS objectives.
10. Actively maintains and updates generic Control Plan, PFD, PFMEA, Process/Product parameters matrix, Work Instruction
11. Assist in all areas of the EMS/QMS implementation and compliance.
12. Performs SPC studies, reports, data and communicates to shop floor for customer problems and resolution.
13. Participates in plant CI projects.
14. Addressing all customer complaints.
15. Addressing all internal quality/environment issues.
16. Spill reporting and environmental compliance.
17. Environment reporting and record keeping.
18. Purchasing and raw material inventory control.
19. Calibration of all EMS/QMS measuring and testing equipment.
20. Supervision of employees in the lab.
21. Hazardous and non-hazardous waste management
22. PM programs for weekly, monthly and annual on processing lines equipment and waste treatment equipment.
23. MSDS/SDS maintenance.
24. Perform other duties as assigned by Plant Manager.
25. Demonstrate competence to carry out duties of Supervisor under
the Occupational Health and Safety act.
26. Maintain compliance to all health and safety standards
Qualifications
1. Post – secondary education with certifications in Quality Control
System or minimum two years of working experience in quality department (automotive experience is an asset) including PPAP, SPC, FMEA, Control Plans, MSA.
2. Familiarity with electroplating processes is an asset.
3. Ability to read and interpret mechanical blue prints.
4. Ability to use or learn measurement tools related to plating / coating industry.
5. Able to conduct root cause analysis using various problem-solving techniques including 8D, 5 Ways, Corrective/Preventative action process and submission.
6. Experience in effective customer and supplier communication to maintain relationships.
