Job Description
The Quality Control Worker is responsible for the systematic inspection and testing of materials and finished goods. Operating within the manufacturing and logistics framework, the Quality Control Worker ensures that all production processes adhere to established quality protocols and safety standards. This role requires a proactive individual who can work independently while collaborating closely with the production team to maintain the highest levels of efficiency and quality.
***Currently, this Quality Control Worker position offers a steady day shift (7 am – 3 pm); however, candidates must be flexible to transition to a rotating continental shift schedule (alternating days and nights) as production needs evolve. These rotating shifts include competitive shift premiums, providing excellent earning potential for a committed Quality Control Worker.***

Job type: Temporary, 3 months
Pay: $22 per hour (plus shift premiums on rotating continental shifts)

Responsibilities
• Perform visual and physical inspections of raw materials and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Utilize measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify dimensions and tolerances.
• Document and report any quality deviations or defects to the production supervisor immediately.
• Maintain detailed records of inspection results, test data, and moisture content or weights as required.
• Monitor the production line to ensure that standard operating procedures are being followed consistently.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements to reduce waste and enhance product quality.
• Assist in the calibration and maintenance of testing equipment to ensure accuracy.
• Collaborate with the manufacturing and logistics team to resolve quality-related issues promptly.
Qualifications
• Proven experience as a Quality Control Worker or in a similar quality assurance role within manufacturing.
• Flexibility to work day shifts (7 am – 3 pm) and transition to rotating continental shifts (days/nights).
• Reliable transportation to the Concord area (Vaughan).
• Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks with precision.
• Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to PPE requirements.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications are an asset.
