This is a critical leadership position responsible for ensuring the highest standards of compliance, precision, and customer confidence within a dynamic aerospace CNC machining environment.
The Quality Manager will provide strategic leadership and direction, overseeing all quality, inspection, and compliance functions. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and continually improving the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure strict adherence to all customer, industry (e.g., AS9100, NADCAP), and regulatory standards (e.g., FAA, EASA).

Responsibilities
Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of the QMS to ensure continuous compliance with ISO 9001/AS9100, NADCAP, FAA, EASA, and specific customer requirements.
Provide strong leadership, coaching, and development to the quality team (Quality Engineering, Inspection, and Compliance) to achieve company goals and foster a culture of excellence.
Lead internal audit programs and represent the company during external customer and third-party certification audits, ensuring successful outcomes and demonstrating confidence in the company's systems.
Directly manage key quality processes, including calibration, Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA), and the Material Review Board (MRB).
Own the non-conformance process, including reviewing deviations, conducting thorough root cause analysis, developing effective corrective actions, and managing customer documentation submissions.
Manage and oversee all Metrology processes to ensure accurate measurement systems and capability throughout the facility.
Partner with cross-functional teams (Manufacturing, Engineering) to resolve quality issues, implement process improvements, and actively support Lean, Kaizen, 6S, and other operational excellence initiatives.
Serve as the primary quality interface, establishing and maintaining strong, long-term customer relationships.
Accurately read and interpret complex technical documentation (blueprints, sketches, configuration data) to verify product and process compliance.
Apply strong analytical thinking and exceptional attention to detail to develop effective, data-driven solutions to complex quality challenges.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related technical field.
Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in aerospace manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a dedicated Quality Management/Leadership role.
QMS Expertise: In-depth knowledge of Quality System development, implementation, and management (AS9100/ISO 9001 mandatory).
Process Knowledge: Strong understanding of calibration systems, Supplier Quality Control, and MRB processes.
Leadership: Proven ability to coach, develop, motivate, and lead technical teams to high performance.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction across all organizational levels and with customers/auditors.
Technical Acumen: Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
Software: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access). Experience with MRP/ERP systems (Syteline experience is a plus).
Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 6S, and Continuous Improvement practices.
Prior experience with NADCAP or other similarly regulated manufacturing environments.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and exhibit a high sense of urgency in a fast-paced setting.
