We are specifically looking for candidates who hold a valid, external Reach truck license. Please note that applications without an external license cannot be considered for this role. You must be comfortable working in the cold, possess the physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs on occasion, and be legally entitled to work full-time in Canada. Responsibilities
• Safely and efficiently operate a Reach truck in a fast-paced cold storage and freezer warehouse.
• Utilize an RF scanner for accurate case picking, order fulfillment, and inventory tracking.
• Move pallets, freight, and other materials to and from storage areas, loading docks, and delivery vehicles.
• Operate a dockstocker as required for loading and unloading.
• Conduct pre-operational checks on all equipment, including the Reach truck, and report any malfunctions.
• Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations and company procedures.
• Ensure proper handling of temperature-sensitive meat products, maintaining the integrity of the cold chain.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet daily productivity and shipping targets.
• Demonstrate punctuality and reliability for the scheduled night shift (11 PM - 7 AM, Sunday-Thursday).
• Assist with other general warehouse duties as assigned within the manufacturing & logistics facility.
Qualifications
• A valid external Reach truck license is mandatory. Applications without this certification will not be considered.
• Minimum of 2 months of verifiable experience operating a Reach truck.
• Verifiable experience using an RF scanner for order picking.
• Must be willing to complete a practical forklift assessment onsite with the client.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Must be legally entitled to work full-time in Canada.
• Ability to work comfortably in a cold storage environment (refrigerated and freezer).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs on occasion.
• Must own a pair of steel-toed safety boots.
