Responsibilities
Responsibilities of the reach truck operator:
• Operate a forklift safely to move, load, and unload freight from trailers and storage areas.
• Utilize basic hand tools such as hammers, drills, wrenches, and socket sets for minor assembly or crate reinforcement.
• Assist the warehouse team with regular inventory counts and cycle counting to ensure data accuracy.
• Perform basic data entry using a computer and client-specific software to track shipments (comprehensive training will be provided).
• Inspect equipment and report any mechanical issues or safety concerns immediately.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace within the manufacturing & logistics facility.
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues to meet daily shipping and receiving targets.
• Execute multiple tasks in a timely manner while working under pressure.
Qualifications
• Must possess a valid external forklift license.
• at least 1 year of consistent forklift experience in a warehouse.
• Ability to pass a criminal record check (conducted only at the offer stage).
• Must be able to speak and understand English at a functional level for safety purposes.
• Possession of steel-toe safety boots is mandatory.
• Reliable transportation to commute.
• Physical ability to sit, stand, bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs as required.
