We are currently seeking a Shipping Support specialist to join a dynamic team in Guelph, Ontario. As a Shipping Support associate, you will play a critical role in the final stage of the supply chain. You are the last line of defense before a product reaches the customer, ensuring quality, accuracy, and efficiency. Situated in the heart of Guelph's industrial district, this position places you right in the action of a busy logistics hub. You will be working a consistent day shift from 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM, Monday through Friday, providing you with a stable routine and your weekends off to recharge.
This role is ideal for candidates who possess a strong sense of urgency and a solid work ethic. Whether you are a recent graduate right out of school looking for your first big break, or someone with previous warehouse experience, we want to hear from you. We believe in hiring for attitude and training for skill; therefore, while warehouse experience is a bonus, it is not strictly required. If you are open-minded, flexible, and eager to learn, this team is ready to invest in you.
In the Shipping Support role, you won't just be moving boxes; you will be mastering the art of logistics. You will be responsible for the end-of-line processes, where organization meets execution. Your primary focus will be managing the flow of goods as they leave the facility. This involves handling boxes as they come down the line, expertly packing skids, and sorting shipments based on specific courier requirements. You will also handle the administrative side of shipping by printing and affixing the correct labels, ensuring every package is routed correctly.
We understand that a positive workplace culture is just as important as the job itself. We are looking for a team player who fits well with a group that values dedication and efficiency. You will be joining a supportive environment where your contributions are noticed. With a competitive starting pay rate of $22 per hour, this role recognizes the hard work and physical effort required to keep the supply chain moving. If you are physically fit, able to lift up to 70 lbs, and ready to start ASAP, this is the move you’ve been waiting for.
Advantages
Competitive Pay: Earn a solid wage of $22/hour, recognizing the value of your labor.
Career Growth: This is a Temp-to-Perm opportunity, meaning you have a genuine path to a permanent role within a year.
Consistent Schedule: Enjoy a balanced lifestyle with a steady 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM shift, Monday to Friday.
Skill Development: Gain valuable experience in manufacturing & logistics with opportunities to cross-train in other departments.
Entry-Level Friendly: Warehouse experience is a bonus, but recent school leavers are welcome to apply—we train for success.
Immediate Start: We are looking to fill this role ASAP, so you can start earning right away.
Responsibilities
Manage the end-of-line shipping process, handling boxes as they arrive from the conveyor system.
Pack skids efficiently and securely to prevent damage during transit.
Sort packages and pallets based on the assigned courier or shipping carrier to streamline the loading process.
Operate computer systems to generate and print accurate shipping labels for various destinations.
Participate in cross-training initiatives to learn tasks in other departments, enhancing your versatility within the warehouse.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure safety and efficiency in the manufacturing and logistics environment.
Qualifications
Physical Strength: Must be comfortable and capable of lifting up to 70 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
Language Skills: Must have excellent English communication skills (approx. 90%) to understand instructions and safety protocols.
Availability: Must be available to work the day shift (10 am - 6:30 pm) Monday through Friday.
Attitude: Must be a dedicated person with a strong team spirit and "culture fit" for a hardworking environment.
