Responsibilities
As Clerical Staff within the Tax Department, your responsibilities will include:
* Intake, scanning, and file assembly of personal tax return information, specifically for individuals Canada-wide who have filed for bankruptcy.
* Managing the assembly process for a large number of client files.
* Tracking file statuses, monitoring deadlines, and communicating timely updates to the tax team.
* Reviewing and updating client data using Tax Prep software, Ascend, and File Assure.
* Reviewing Notices of Assessments received from the CRA.
* Contacting debtors by phone and/or answering phone queries.
* Performing additional clerical work as necessary.
Qualifications
* Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
* Ability to handle a high-volume workload while working collaboratively in a team environment.
* Excellent written, communication, and consulting skills.
* Creative and proactive problem-solver with a demonstrated innovative approach.
* Takes ownership of tasks and shows initiative in independently moving projects forward.
* Bilingualism (English/French) is considered a strong asset.
