Responsibilities
•Prepare reconciliations and attestations according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
•Identify, investigate, and report true breaks while escalating potential loss items immediately.
•Support and investigate outages in both in-house and outsourced reconciliations.
•Conduct first-level investigations using in-house and online tools to expedite issue resolution.
•Perform peer reviews on reconciliations completed by team members.
•Lead the design and improvement of new and existing reconciliation processes.
•Utilize automation tools to streamline data ingestion, analytics, and visualization processes.
•Create and maintain monthly and ad hoc statistical reports.
•Post journal entries as required.
•Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to resolve reconciliation issues and drive efficiencies.
•Demonstrate flexibility by handling ad hoc tasks outside standard reconciliation processes.
Qualifications
Must-Have:
•Minimum of 3+ years of experience preparing financial reconciliations.
•Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
•Post-graduate qualifications or professional designations (MBA, CA, CFA) preferred.
•Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the full MS Office suite.
•Strong analytical, investigative, and decision-making abilities.
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proven ability to collaborate across business functions.
•Detail-oriented and proactive with a strong sense of accountability and initiative.
Nice-to-Have:
•Familiarity with Tableau or similar data visualization tools.
•Knowledge of insurance accounting or exposure to insurance products and operations.
