Term: 3-Month Contract
Short Job Description
...
We are looking for a Record Center Specialist to join our Edmonton team for a high-intensity, 3-month project. This role is a hybrid of physical labor and digital inventory management. You will be responsible for the manual movement, organization, and palletizing of heavy storage containers while accurately logging data into our tracking system using handheld scanners and proprietary software.
Advantages
Enjoy a steady Monday to Friday, daytime shift with no weekend or evening work required.
Gain experience in both physical logistics/warehouse operations and digital data management.
A great fit for those who prefer a "stay-fit" job that keeps you moving rather than sitting at a desk all day.
Easily accessible work site within the Edmonton industrial district.
A straightforward 3-month commitment, perfect for those between long-term roles or looking for short-term projects.
Responsibilities
Heavy Lifting: Ability to manually lift, carry, and move boxes ranging from 24 lbs to 100 lbs without assistance throughout the shift.
Physical Agility: Frequent kneeling, squatting, bending, and climbing ladders in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Technical Tasks: Operate handheld scanners and perform data entry into a computer system to track inventory.
Equipment Use: Safely operate hand trucks and pallet jacks to move materials across concrete surfaces.
Communication: Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently to process orders and labels.
Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Background: Must be able to pass a Reliability Check (RC).
Experience: Previous experience in light industrial work, warehouse operations, or data entry is highly preferred.
Skillset: Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently in a physically demanding role.
Summary
This position is perfect for a hardworking individual in Edmonton who enjoys a "best of both worlds" environment staying active through physical warehouse tasks while maintaining precision through data entry. You will ensure that vital records are safely stored, easily found, and properly documented during this critical 3-month contract period.
