The Recruitment Specialist is responsible for managing the full-cycle recruitment process for salaried, Hourly Union, technical, professional, and leadership positions across our Collingwood facility. This position partners closely with hiring managers to attract, assess, and hire top talent in support of business objectives and workforce planning initiatives.
Utilizing UKG Recruiting and other sourcing platforms, you will identify qualified candidates while ensuring a positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process. This role is critical in supporting the organization's talent acquisition strategy and workforce growth.

Responsibilities
Full-Cycle Recruitment: Manage full-cycle recruitment activities for Quality Managers, Electrical Technicians, Process Engineers, Finance professionals, Materials professionals, and other salaried positions.
Hiring Manager Partnership: Partner with hiring managers to develop recruitment strategies and understand position requirements, workforce planning needs, and hiring timelines.
Job Board Management: Create and maintain job postings within UKG Recruiting and external recruitment platforms including LinkedIn, Indeed, and industry-specific job boards.
Candidate Sourcing: Source active and passive candidates through networking, referrals, talent pools, social media platforms, and direct outreach.
Screening & Interviewing: Review resumes, conduct candidate screenings, perform phone interviews, and coordinate interview schedules. Conduct behavioural and competency-based interviews to assess qualifications, experience, and organizational fit.
Pre-Employment & Onboarding: Complete reference checks, background screening coordination, employment offers, and pre-employment activities. Support onboarding activities to ensure a smooth transition from candidate to employee.
Data & Metrics: Maintain accurate recruitment records and candidate data within UKG Recruiting. Track and report recruitment metrics including time-to-fill, source effectiveness, candidate quality, and hiring trends.
Pipeline Development: Develop and maintain talent pipelines for recurring and difficult-to-fill positions.
Qualifications
College Diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, staffing, or human resources.
Hands-on experience utilizing Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), preferably UKG Recruiting.
Proven experience sourcing candidates through job boards, social media platforms, talent pools, and networking activities.
Strong communication, interviewing, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint).
