We’re currently hiring a Gas Compression Technician to take the lead on troubleshooting and repairs for a variety of gas and diesel engines—both in-shop and in the field.
What to expect:
5x2 schedule based out of the Red Deer area
Occasional out-of-town work
Shift work may be required
Any shift changes will follow the applicable collective agreement
Must be able to pass a respirator fit test (condition of employment)

🕐 Schedule: Monday to Friday, 5x2 shift (exact hours to be confirmed)
🔧 Classification: Field-based role with some shop work (travel radius and shop percentage to be confirmed)
🌍 Work Environment: Client sites, shop, and on-location service work

Candidate may be required to supply some personal tools
Company-provided service truck, laptop, and service phone

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot and perform repairs on heavy equipment and diesel/gas compression systems
Communicate effectively with customers and coordinate with product and support teams
Collaborate with supervisors on daily tasks and priorities
Ensure all work complies with on-site safety protocols and procedures
Deliver high-quality service aligned with customer satisfaction goals
Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician certification
Minimum 3 years of experience as a Heavy Duty Technician
WHMIS certification
Previous experience with Caterpillar equipment repairs
Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
Self-motivated, safety-focused, and able to work with minimal supervision
Proficient with computers and digital service tools
Leadership abilities and confidence in interacting directly with customers
Valid driver’s license with a 5-year driver’s abstract required
Assets:
Experience in the gas compression industry
Hands-on experience with Caterpillar gas engines and compressors
Previous field service experience
