In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of production electrical systems by installing, maintaining, and repairing complex industrial and commercial electrical equipment. Responsibilities
Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial and commercial electrical systems
Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on electrical equipment to minimize downtime
Diagnose electrical issues and implement effective corrective solutions
Test, calibrate, and align electrical equipment for optimal performance and reliability
Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and manuals to support maintenance and installation
Inspect electrical systems for wear, damage, and potential failure points
Perform electrical repairs including motor replacements, panel work, and control system adjustments
Collaborate with mechanical, maintenance, and operations teams to support plant performance
Ensure compliance with safety standards, company procedures, and industry regulations
Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities and electrical system condition
Qualifications
Red Seal Journeyperson Electrician certification
Demonstrated experience performing maintenance in industrial, manufacturing, or commercial environments
Experience with PLCs, automated production systems, control panels, or motor drives is considered an asset
Legally eligible to work full-time in British Columbia
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
Physically fit and able to lift heavy materials up to 50 pounds.
Knowledge of safety regulations and the ability to work in a safe environment.
Previous experience in [specific industry or application, e.g., construction, manufacturing] is an asset.
