Are you a heavy-hitting Refrigeration Professional who has mastered the tools but is ready to take the reins of a field operation? We are seeking a high-maturity, thick-skinned Refrigeration General Foreman to lead our Fort McMurray team.
This is a high-accountability "player-coach" role. You won’t just be sitting behind a desk—you will be the technical "source of truth" in the field, bridging the gap between management and a mixed-trade team. If you are a natural leader who knows how to herd cats, call out inefficiencies, and elevate the skill level of the shop through hands-on mentorship, we want to hear from you.

Highly Competitive Union Wages (Local 488):
- General Foreman: $66.39/hr
- Foreman: $63.50/hr
- Journeyman: $57.73/hr
Ticket Premiums: Premium for a Class A Gas Ticket.
Housing Provided: Rent-free stay in a shared, 3-bedroom luxury condo (maximum 2–3 total occupants)—perfect for those on rotation.
Company Vehicle: Dedicated company truck provided for the General Foreman role.

Responsibilities
Field Leadership & Scheduling: Provide strategic guidance to Dispatchers on manpower scheduling; ensure the right technician is sent to the right call to maximize efficiency.
Technical Authority & Mentorship: Act as the ultimate technical resource for refrigeration, plumbing, gas fitting, and sheet metal teams. Provide "truck-side" coaching to bridge skill gaps and elevate the team's overall capabilities.
Operations & Work Order Management: Use ERP systems (Sampro/Smartphone platforms) to track work order lifecycles, manage aging work orders, and streamline field data.
Quality & Customer Advocacy: Act as the face of the branch for both service and project-based work. Build strong client relationships, proactively resolve concerns, and defend company values.
Safety Championship: Set a personal example for a world-class safety culture, ensuring all field staff diligently practice HSE regulations, complete FLHAs, and clear COR audits.
Administrative Oversight: Review and approve timesheets, tool lists, and vacation requests to ensure seamless 24/7 operational coverage.
Qualifications
Trade Certification: Red Seal Refrigeration Ticket is mandatory.
Experience: Proven track record as a Foreman, Lead Hand, or General Foreman.(Exceptional, leadership-ready Journeymen or advanced apprentices looking to move up will also be considered).
The "Maturity" Factor: High emotional intelligence and accountability. You must be comfortable working independently, driving results in a fast-paced industrial hub, and maintaining a positive, motivated team tone.
Technical Literacy: Tech-savvy enough to quickly adapt to smartphone-based ERP databases, work order systems, and Microsoft 365.
Compliance: Must be able to successfully pass a mandatory pre-access Drug & Alcohol test.
Assets: Dual-ticketed candidates (specifically with a Class A Gas Ticket) are highly preferred.
