Responsibilities
Registered Pharmacy Technician - Part-Time - Northeast Edmonton, AB - Healthcare
As a Registered Pharmacy Technician, you will be the final checkpoint for accuracy and a vital support system for clinical delivery. Your duties will include:
Product Verification: Perform independent final checks on prescriptions filled in-store, including vials and compliance packaging (CPAKs).
Central Fill Management: Conduct final checks and reconciliation for orders arriving from central fill to ensure accuracy before patient pickup.
Clinical Support: Act as the first point of contact to screen patients for eligibility for clinical services, allowing Pharmacists to focus on patient care.
Medication Reconciliation: collaborative engagement with patients to conduct Best Possible Medication Histories (BPMH) and medication reconciliations to ensure safety and adherence.
Workflow Efficiency: Assist in managing the daily flow of the dispensary, ensuring orders are processed in a timely manner.
Qualifications
Registered Pharmacy Technician - Part-Time - Northeast Edmonton, AB - Healthcare
Licensure: Must be a Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPhT) in good standing with the Alberta College of Pharmacy (ACP).
Experience: Previous experience in a community or retail pharmacy setting is required.
Availability: Must be available to work Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays.
Technical Skills: Proficiency with pharmacy software (Kroll or similar) is an asset.
Communication: Strong verbal communication skills to effectively interview patients for medical histories and clinical screening.
