Responsibilities
Registered Pharmacy Technician - Full-Time, Permanent - Calgary, AB
Sterile Preparation: You will be responsible for the aseptic preparation of sterile drug admixtures and prescriptions according to strict technical specifications and work instructions (total parenteral nutrition focus)
Quality Control: Perform essential checks on labels, syringes, and final packaging to ensure the highest product quality and patient safety.
Operational Support: Assist with clinical tasks including order entry, staging production, and maintaining accurate inventory.
Cleanroom Maintenance: Support and execute vital decontamination and cleaning procedures to maintain a sterile environment.
Collaborative Problem Solving: Work effectively within a team to evaluate priorities, react to urgent needs, and maintain a seamless flow of service.
Compliance and Safety: Adhere to all health and safety protocols, corporate code of conduct, and quality management programs.
Continuous Training: Stay up to date with assigned training modules and safety certifications through the Learning Management System.
Qualifications
Registered Pharmacy Technician - Full-Time, Permanent - Calgary, AB
Secondary school diploma and a Pharmacy Diploma from an Alberta College of Pharmacy (ACP) accredited institution.
Current and valid registration as a Regulated Pharmacy Technician with the Alberta College of Pharmacy in good standing
Strong computer skills, specifically in MS Office and pharmacy software systems.
Exceptional attention to detail, time management, and the ability to work under tight time constraints.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for internal teamwork and limited external patient interaction.
Previous experience in IV compounding or a cleanroom environment is considered a strong asset but is not required (training is provided)
