Responsibilities
In this Part time Remote Payroll Specialist role, you will hold the following responsibilities:
- Gather information on hours worked for each employee, calculate the correct amount incorporating overtime, deductions, bonuses, etc., and prepare and execute payroll.
- Address issues and questions regarding payroll from employees and superiors in a timely and professional manner.
- Process Records of Employment (ROEs) promptly and maintain accurate payroll records.
- Process taxes and payment of employee benefits, and keep track of pay rates, wages, compensation benefit rates, new hire information, etc.
- Manage and process short-term disability cases in accordance with company policies.
Qualifications
To be eligible for this Remote Payroll Specialist role you will need the following qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Payroll Specialist or Payroll Administrator.
- Proficiency with Ceridian Powerpay
- Knowledge of Canadian payroll legislation and Canadian regulations.
