Work Assignment Overview
Working within the Grid Telecom Operations team, deliver various projects for T&D System Operations - ranging from software updates, hardware replacements, office renos, or change management

This role is a part time assignment and work days could be either 2/week or 3/week depending on manager's discretion and project needs.
Responsibilities
There is a need for PM to deliver work under the TDSO (Transmission & Distribution System Operations) annual capital work program, based in the Fraser Valley Office Control Centre. The program runs on annual funding with projects that start and complete within the fiscal year (April 1 to March 31). The projects meet a range of requirements for TDSO, and can include physical updates to device testing and lab spaces, telecom infrastructure (asset replacements – servers, tools, etc.), software (new or existing software upgrades/installations), networking (configuring or introducing changes to our network), changes or replacements to network monitoring systems (NMS’s – for monitoring field telecom assets), and integration (of new or existing software or processes into our systems).
The role requires:
Program and project management/coordination of all end to end activities for projects/initiatives.
Leading delivery team (business, vendor, internal suppliers) through design, planning, delivery, supporting troubleshooting, facilitating collaboration and driving progress, managing key decisions and change, negotiating trade-offs, setting deadlines and ensuring team is aware of their responsibilities and accountabilities.
Work with established tools and framework setup by the TDSO capital team.
Understanding the business requirements, proposed scope(s) to be delivered
Leading delivery team(s) through program and project deliverables and milestones: procurement; PoC; implementation; testing & verification.
Engaging stakeholders and delivery team (business and vendor); establish meeting/collaboration environment to ensure project success
Establishing project schedules for the project & managing to the milestones
Setting up and leading financial trackers – forecasts, actuals, accruals, variance analysis.
Leading program and project checkin meetings with vendors/business team; setting agendas, capturing actions, following up on actions (ie., action log).
Maintaining RAID log or similar (risk, actions, issues, decisions).
Prepare regular program and project status reports using dept. standard templates, within established reporting schedule.
Responsibility for Program level objectives (alignment with strategy), delivery on schedule, budget and scope of initiatives/projects therein.
Ensure scope & requirements have been addressed during project, reflecting completion in a Transition to Operations phase, and, Completion & Acceptance document.
Qualifications
Must haves:
Must be able to come to office on a hybrid basis
Nice to have:
Telecom operations experience
Telecom cybersecurity experience
Previous BCH experience
