Responsibilities
Appointed Actuary Support: Lead or manage deliverables for actuarial liability valuations, financial condition testing (FCT), and MCT reporting.
IFRS 17 Expertise: Act as a subject matter expert for IFRS 17 liability modeling and implementation support.
Advanced Analytics: Deploy hands-on pricing and predictive modeling techniques to enhance client underwriting and financial modeling.
Audit Collaboration: Partner with accounting teams to identify and review financial risk issues, ensuring actuarial liabilities are fairly presented in financial statements.
Business Development: Contribute to the growth of the practice by participating in proposals, building quote estimates, and maintaining key client relationships.
Qualifications
Designation: Qualified Actuary (FCAS and FCIA) is highly preferred; candidates in the final stages of their Fellowship will be considered.
Core Expertise: Extensive professional background as a P&C Actuary with a deep focus on reserving.
Technical Mandates: Proven, hands-on experience with IFRS 17 and Pricing/Predictive Modeling is essential.
Systems Proficiency: Mastery of reserving or statistical applications such as Arius, R, or @Risk.
Communication Excellence: Exceptional written and oral communication skills, specifically the ability to present complex findings to a business audience.
Professional Pedigree: Prior experience in a consulting or advisory environment is a significant asset.
Linguistic Asset: Bilingual proficiency in English and French is highly desirable.
