Safety & Quality Manager Lloydminster, AB
We aren’t looking for a "paper-pusher" or someone to just sit in an office highlighting spreadsheets. We need a hands-on Safety & Quality Manager who isn’t afraid to get out on the floor, talk to the team, and keep our Lloydminster operation running tight, safe, and compliant.
...
If you know your way around an ISO audit but also aren't afraid to roll up your sleeves to investigate a root cause on the line, you’ll fit right in.
Advantages
What You Get
- Competitive salary
- Mon - Fri schedule
- Comprehensive benefits
- RSP matching
- Fantastic team working environment
- Plenty of hands on support
Responsibilities
What You’ll Actually Be Doing
- Your day-to-day is a mix of keeping people safe, keeping the environment protected, and ensuring the product leaving our doors is top-notch.
- The Safety Side: You’ll lead the charge on risk assessments and PPE. You’ll be the go-to for accident investigations (using 8Ds) and making sure our Safety Committee meetings actually get things done.
- The Quality Side: We live by ISO 9001 and Transport Canada standards. You’ll manage product design reports, handle customer quality inquiries, and make sure our incoming materials are up to snuff.
- The Environmental Side: You’ll oversee our environmental programs, ensuring we’re meeting all provincial and federal regs, and handling the necessary reporting for hazardous materials.
- The "Human" Side: You’ll be training the team, explaining the "why" behind the rules, and working with production to fix defects before they become headaches.
Qualifications
What You Bring to the Table
- Real Experience: At least 5 years in a manufacturing environment doing Safety, Quality, or Environmental work. If you’ve worked in industrial manufacturing specifically, that’s a huge plus.
- Technical Chops: You need a solid handle on ISO 9001, OHS, and TDG/Transport Canada regulations.
- Communication: You can talk to a regulator in the morning and the production crew in the afternoon without missing a beat.
- Audit-Ready: You’ve led internal and external audits and don’t break a sweat when the auditors walk through the door.
