Position: Sanitation Manager
Location: Brantford
Shift: Straight Days
Payrate: $110,000 depending on experience

Responsibilities
Program Leadership & Compliance
-Strategic Oversight: Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive cleaning schedules and sanitation programs across the entire facility, including production, packaging, and storage.
-Regulatory Mastery: Ensure total adherence to SSOPs, GMP, HACCP, and other regulatory protocols.
-Safety & Standards: Maintain compliance with CFIA, OSHA, FDA, USDA, and EPA standards.
-Audit Readiness: Lead the facility through internal and external audits and inspections, ensuring all certifications are met.
Team Management
-Direct Leadership: Supervise, schedule, and evaluate the performance of the sanitation team.
-Training: Provide continuous training on safety procedures and cleanliness standards to all staff.
-Contractor Management: Oversee third-party cleaning vendors, providing direction and ensuring they meet contract requirements and safety standards
Quality Control & Verification
-Regular Inspections: Conduct frequent walkthroughs to inspect production lines and equipment.
-Scientific Verification: Perform ATP testing, environmental monitoring, and visual inspections to validate the effectiveness of cleaning procedures.
-Inventory Control: Manage the inventory of sanitation chemicals and supplies, ensuring they are stored and handled according to safety regulations
Continuous Improvement
Process Optimization: Identify opportunities for cost reduction and increased efficiency in cleaning methods.
Innovation: Research and recommend new sanitation technologies to reduce downtime.
Collaboration: Partner with Quality Control, Production, and Maintenance teams to enhance facility-wide hygiene
Qualifications
- Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Food Technology, Chemical/Industrial Engineering, or a related biological science would be an asset
- Managerial Experience: At least 5 years of experience in a sanitation leadership role (Manager, Supervisor, or Lead)
- Industry Background: Minimum 3+ years in the food industry
- Core Knowledge: Strong understanding of GMPs, HACCP, Quality Systems, and SOPs
