Responsibilities
- Implement detailed plans and procedures for the migration of SAP BW to SAP Datasphere, ensuring alignment with corporate architecture standards.
- Facilitate high-level meetings with stakeholders and vendors to determine needs for data quality, metadata, reports, and system performance.
- Define source-to-target mappings and data transformation rules, coordinating closely with technical teams to ensure data integrity during cutover activities.
- Analyze existing SAP BW extractors, queries, and data models to ensure current-state functionality is successfully captured in the target state.
- Lead SDLC activities including parallel testing, data validation, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure accurate reconciliation of migrated datasets.
- Implement security and privacy requirements regarding the storage and processing of confidential data, ensuring adherence to legislated privacy standards.
- Educate business users on platform changes, providing post-migration stabilization support and managing the knowledge transfer process.
- Support vendor engagement through design reviews, requirements clarification, and the validation of delivered technical solutions.
Qualifications
- University degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience with SAP BW and SAP Datasphere, with direct involvement in data migration and the mapping of complex data fields.
- Functional expertise in Human Resources and Payroll data, including specific experience with workforce management software.
- Demonstrated track record of gathering requirements for large-scale enterprise data and analytics modernization projects.
- Skilled in analyzing legacy data models and using tools such as Jira, Confluence, Visio, and Excel to produce comprehensive documentation.
- In-depth knowledge of data quality management and privacy requirements relevant to the handling of sensitive employee information.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a complex transformation environment.
