As a principal SAP consultant, you will bridge the gap between core accounting structures, regulatory reporting mandates, and modern ERP software configuration. Operating within a hybrid work model, you will lead the rollout of Group Reporting templates, configure data collection pipelines, design financial closing cockpits, and support the generation of consolidated financial statements. This position is tailored for an expert who can configure S/4HANA Group Accounting, execute intercompany eliminations, integrate local accounting feeds, and ensure full compliance with Public Sector Accounting Board (PSAB) standards.

Integrate local accounting tables (ACDOCA) with group reporting tables (ACDOCU), configuring data release, mapping, and validation mechanisms.
Setup consolidation logistics, intercompany reconciliations, eliminations, investment consolidations, and equity consolidation workflows.
Configure the Advanced Financial Closing (AFC) tool and build a financial closing cockpit for monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting cycles.
Develop specialized financial statements aligned with PSAB requirements, including the Statement of Financial Position, Statement of Operations, Statement of Remeasurement Gains and Losses, Statement of Changes in Net Debt, and Tangible Capital Assets.
Review, refine, and update current-state year-end consolidation processes, data requirements from workshops, and group structure definitions.
Support year-end financial closing activities, guide finance users through consolidation tasks, and lead support ticket triage, defect resolution, and troubleshooting.
Collaborate with business process leads, system integrators, and vendor partners to validate proposed solution designs and ensure alignment with best practices.
Produce functional specifications, test plans, process maps, configuration workbooks, and options papers to support leadership decision-making.
Qualifications
Core Technical & Architectural Requirements
Professional ERP Experience: 10+ years of hands-on experience in large project/program environments across complex public sector or large private sector organizations.
Group Reporting Implementations: Proven experience delivering at least 2 end-to-end SAP S/4HANA Group Reporting implementations, including data collection, Preparation Ledger setup, and intercompany eliminations.
Advanced Financial Closing (AFC) Experience: Experience executing at least 2 end-to-end implementations of the SAP Advanced Financial Closing (AFC) tool.
Financial Certifications: Active SAP Certification in Finance – Group Reporting and Advanced Financial Closing.
PSAB & Financial Reporting Depth: Deep expertise in Public Sector Accounting Board (PSAB) requirements and generating consolidated financial statements from multi-source data.
S/4HANA Module Integration: Hands-on configuration knowledge across S/4HANA Finance (FI), Controlling (CO), Accounts Payable (AP), Funds Management (FM), Grants Management (GM), Project Systems (PS), Asset Accounting (AA), and Asset Retirement Obligation (ARO), with strong integration knowledge into Materials Management (MM).
Testing & Delivery Methodologies: Extensive experience with testing frameworks (unit, integration, regression, UAT) and project delivery methodologies (SAP Activate, PMBOK, Agile, Waterfall).
