In this high-impact, professional consulting role, you will serve as the dedicated Agile facilitator for an advanced, large-scale Artificial Intelligence (AI) program within the cybersecurity and defense portfolio. Your primary mission is to act as a change agent, helping the organization transition from a SAFe-like model into highly optimized, localized Agile pods. You will partner closely with Technical Project Managers, Product Owners, and Engineering Leads to structure backlogs, remove systemic impediments, protect technical teams from external distractions, and optimize Work-In-Progress (WIP) limits to ensure predictable, secure, and continuous software delivery.
Duration: 12-Month Contract
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (4 days per week on-site at the corporate office, 1 day work from home)
Advantages
Cutting-Edge Tech Domain: Embed yourself in the vanguard of technology, guiding Agile delivery for an enterprise program focused on Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity defense.
Complex Agile Transformation Portfolio: Deepen your professional consulting profile by actively structuring new delivery pods during a major structural transition from a scaled framework.
High-Collaboration Internal Sandbox: Work within a tight, high-performing group of internal engineers and project managers with zero overhead or constraints from live customer PII data.
Long-Term Contract Continuity: Secure a stable, 12-month foundational assignment within a sophisticated, mature corporate infrastructure.
Responsibilities
Agile Facilitation, Coaching & Pod Optimization
End-to-End Ceremony Governance: Coordinate, facilitate, and enforce all core Agile ceremonies—including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospective sessions—ensuring all internal pod members are aligned and engaged.
WIP & Flow Management: Manage strict Work-In-Progress (WIP) limits to prevent burnout, optimize engineering flow, and establish a predictable, measurable velocity for software delivery.
Backlog Transparency Enforcement: Eradicate hidden or undocumented tasks by partnering with Product Owners to ensure all engineering efforts are explicitly captured, visualized, and prioritized within the product backlog.
Team Shielding & Collaboration: Protect the technical development team from outside distractions, fostering a collaborative, supportive culture where pod members proactively help one another clear high-priority blockers.
Stakeholder Alignment & Governance
Cross-Pod Dependency Mapping: Collaborate daily with Project Managers, Technology Leads, and internal business partners to identify, manage, and mitigate cross-team technical dependencies and architectural bottlenecks.
Impediment Removal: Proactively track, triage, and resolve systemic impediments, engaging organizational control partners or Agile Coaches where necessary to clear the delivery path.
Enterprise Compliance Adherence: Ensure all software delivery pipelines, artifacts, and documentation matrices align directly with corporate quality assurance parameters, performance guidelines, and security risk appetites.
Tracking & Tool Stewardship: Leverage Jira and Confluence as the definitive source of truth, maintaining exact metric accuracy, artifact traceability, and sprint progress dashboards.
Qualifications
Experience: 5+ years of progressive professional experience operating as a dedicated Scrum Master, Agile Delivery Lead, or Technical Project Manager within enterprise environments.
Methodology Expertise: Deep, practical command of Scrum and Agile methodologies, with a proven track record of guiding teams through framework transformations or scaled environment adjustments.
Core Tool Fluency: Expert-level proficiency utilizing Jira and Confluence to manage backlogs, track dependencies, maintain traceability, and publish sprint metrics.
Soft Skills: Exceptional communication, leadership, and facilitation skills. A confident consensus-builder who can manage organizational friction, influence stakeholders without direct authority, and translate complex delivery timelines into clear, actionable objectives.
Nice-to-Have Skills & Assets
Holding active, industry-recognized scaled Agile or Scrum certifications (such as SAFe, CSM, PMI-ACP, or SSM).
Professional experience or structural familiarity navigating data visualization and business intelligence reporting tools like Power BI or Tableau.
Prior background or project exposure within the Cybersecurity, Defense, or global security sectors.
