Position: Senior Repair Technician
Shift: Straight Days Monday to Friday 7am to 3:30pm
Payrate: $30-$40 depending on experience

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Technical Repair & Failure Analysis
Dismantling: Disassemble and clean various seal types, including wet, gas-lubricated, and dry-running seals.
Inspection: Evaluate components for defects or dimensional deviations against technical drawings. Identify base materials and determine whether a repair or a full replacement is required.
Refurbishment: Perform specialized manual tasks such as lapping, polishing, and grinding to restore seal faces.
Reporting: Analyze failures and generate detailed reports to help determine the scope of work, project costs, and potential process improvements for the end-user.
Testing & Operations
Validation: Review and approve completed products (primarily cartridge seals) through static and dynamic testing protocols.
Logistics: Use ERP software (such as SAP) for the receipt, movement, and shipping of goods.
Assembly: Reassemble and package components for shipment, ensuring they meet all internal quality and safety specifications.
Efficiency: Contribute to the development of new procedures to reduce repair cycle times and ensure on-time delivery.
Machining & Maintenance
Basic Machining: Perform simple machining tasks using manual mills, CNC lathes, and surface grinders as part of the repair process.
Tooling: Suggest or create custom fixtures to improve routine tasks when standard tools are not available.
Shop Support: Maintain a clean workspace (5S) and assist with general maintenance, including equipment installation or facility layout changes.
Qualifications
Candidate Profile
Experience: Background in mechanical repair or rotating equipment, preferably within an industrial environment.
Technical Skills: Ability to interpret manufacturing drawings and use precision measuring instruments.
Adaptability: Comfortable handling "emergency repair" requests and shifting priorities to meet fast-turnaround deadlines.
Compliance: Strong commitment to Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies and quality control procedures.
Communication: Capable of producing clear technical reports and working collaboratively within a team.
