Responsibilities
The Threat Intelligence Security Engineer is a hands-on, contract position responsible for operationalizing, measuring, and maximizing the return on investment (ROI) from the organization's external threat intelligence assets and monitoring tools. This role is critical for transforming raw data from premium sources into actionable, quantifiable defense strategies and providing clear, decisive analysis that demonstrates value and impact to senior leadership and other teams.
Qualifications
Top Skills: In addition to possessing foundational expertise, experience, and professional certifications in Information Systems, Cybersecurity, and Threat Intelligence, the ideal candidate should demonstrate the following competencies:
- Superior capabilities in data collection, processing, and analytical assessment.
- Outstanding communication and documentation proficiency, with the ability to translate technical concepts for Strategic, Operational, and Tactical audiences.
- The capacity to rapidly master and operate a diverse array of security platforms and tools, including their provisioning and integration.
Project Description: The candidate will be involved in a wide range of projects and initiatives in alignment with the Threat Intelligence team's FY27 road map. These include but are not limited to:
- Threat Intelligence Requirement Tracking
- Data Visibility Gap Assessment
- Threat Hunting Program
- Integration & Control Enhancement
- Domain Takedown Process
- CTI - Capability Maturity Model
- Security Modernization Project (SIEM/SOAR/EDR)
