Responsibilities
- Oversee the complete accounting cycle and maintain accurate financial records
- Prepare periodic financial statements and internal management reports
- Lead month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and supporting documentation
- Perform account reconciliations, analytical reviews, and variance analysis
- Support annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes
- Prepare cash flow forecasts and monitor liquidity
- Conduct financial and operational analyses to support leadership decision-making
- Develop recurring and ad hoc reporting for management
- Ensure compliance with applicable financial regulations and reporting standards
- Coordinate external reporting requirements and support audit processes
- Assist in maintaining and optimizing financial systems and reporting tools
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather financial and operational performance metrics
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and strengthen internal controls
Qualifications
- Professional accounting designation (completed or in progress)
- Several years of progressive accounting experience, including experience in a senior-level capacity
- Experience in a structured accounting or advisory environment is considered an asset
- Strong proficiency in spreadsheet-based financial analysis and reporting tools
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and solutions-focused
