I’m partnering with a dynamic and growing manufacturing and distribution company, looking to add a CPA-designated Senior Accountant to their finance team. In this role, you'll be working closely with the Director of Finance and play a key role in driving financial accuracy and operational efficiency across the business. Responsibilities
Reporting to the Director of Finance, your duties and key responsibilities will include;
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes
- Manage general ledger functions and ensure accurate, timely financial reporting
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes
- Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
- Support budgeting and forecasting initiatives
- Develop and maintain internal financial controls and procedures
- Coordinate with external auditors during audit processes
- Ensure adherence to accounting standards and regulatory compliance
- Provide mentorship to junior accounting staff
- Collaborate cross-functionally to promote financial clarity and efficiency
- Manage payroll and HR-related responsibilities, including benefits administration
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA designation (will also consider foreign designations)
- 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing and/or distribution environment
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Solid understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards
- Excellent analytical skills and strong attention to detail
- A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with strong communication abilities
- Capable of working independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
