Responsibilities
- Manage and track IT hardware and software assets through their entire lifecycle, from procurement and deployment to maintenance and disposal.
- Utilize ServiceNow HAM Pro and SAM Pro to maintain asset compliance, optimize software licenses, and prevent unnecessary expenditures.
- Drive the accuracy and completeness of the ServiceNow CMDB, ensuring Configuration Items (CIs) are correctly associated and data integrity is maintained.
- Collaborate with IT teams to map applications and infrastructure dependencies using ServiceNow Discovery tools to increase visibility.
- Align IT asset processes with company policies and industry standards, including ISO 19770 and ITIL best practices.
- Lead reporting requirements and support internal/external audits related to software licensing and hardware assets.
- Partner with Security, Finance, and Procurement teams to provide training and guidance on ITAM best practices.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience managing and tracking IT hardware and software assets specifically using ServiceNow HAM Pro and SAM Pro.
- Proven track record in maintaining and improving ServiceNow CMDB accuracy and governance.
- Deep understanding of ISO 19770, ITIL frameworks, and Software Asset Management (SAM) best practices.
- Hands-on exposure to ServiceNow Discovery and Service Mapping tools for infrastructure and dependency tracking.
- Strong grasp of software licensing models, cost optimization strategies, and ITAM/CMDB capabilities.
- ITIL v4 Foundation certification or ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) in HAM/SAM is highly desirable.
- Prior experience within the Public Sector is considered a strong asset.
