Responsibilities
Strategy & Leadership: Lead the overall application architecture strategy for the MLITSD 360 program, overseeing sub-projects and ensuring technological consistency across the portfolio.
Cloud & Microservices: Develop, POC, and implement microservice-based solutions on the Tanzu (Pivotal Cloud Foundry) platform.
Solution Option Analysis: Undertake complex architectural reviews, providing in-depth assessments and delivering artifacts (such as those required by the Zachman Enterprise Framework) to meet Ontario Government standards.
Cloud Financial Management: Provide critical input into cloud costing, licensing, and budget efficiency for Azure-based workloads.
Security & Compliance: Lead cloud security design, protecting workloads against threat actors while ensuring compliance with privacy and accessibility (AODA) requirements.
DevOps & Automation: Build strategies for "blue-green" deployments and lead automation initiatives for infrastructure-as-code (IaC) and automated testing.
Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitate design meetings with business clients and I&IT management, translating complex business requirements into technical roadmaps.
Qualifications
Cloud Mastery: Extensive experience with Azure (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and cloud networking (V-Nets, Peering, WAF).
Container Specialist: Proven leadership in delivering microservices, specifically on Tanzu/Pivotal Cloud Foundry.
Agile & DevOps: Expert in Agile delivery, acting as an embedded architect to guide delivery teams through CI/CD and DevOps automation.
Technical Breadth : Proficiency in Windows/Linux, MS SQL/PostgreSQL, Java/.NET, and REST API Management.
Enterprise Governance : Experience navigating the enterprise architecture standards of a large organization
Soft Skills: Superior presentation and documentation skills, with the ability to negotiate and resolve complex system issues with business clients.
